Pricing & Slab Preparation Guide

Our base pricing is calculated assuming a flat, compliant concrete floor. Under Australian Standard AS 3600, a standard slab must have a maximum 3mm variance (gap) under a 3m straight edge.

Why Flatness Matters: If your concrete slab is wavy, a Grind & Seal or Honed finish can naturally follow the curves of the floor. However, a premium Mechanically Polished Concrete (MPC) finish requires a perfectly flat surface. If your slab is uneven, we must perform extensive cross-grinding, which requires extra labor and causes heavy tool wear to ensure your high-gloss mirror shine stays flat and distortion-free.

Slab Condition: Old carpet glue, leveling compounds, structural cracks, or severe humps require extra repair hours and specialized diamond tooling.

Construction Stage: Working around pre-existing framing or finished drywall restricts us to small hand-held grinders, which slows down daily production.

Note: Large, wide-open commercial layouts often cost less per square metre due to machine efficiency. Conversely, small spaces under 30 m² carry a slight premium to cover machinery transport and setup.

Honed Pools (Penetrating Systems)

Pool Surrounds (Flat Surrounding Ground): $80 to $120 per m².

Pool Edge Coping (Per Linear Metre): $120 to $180 per LM. Includes: Intensive manual hand-grinding and safety arris edge detailing.
